Redesigning and redefining an expense-splitting app into a collaborative finance tool for couples.
Tandem has 25,000+ couples and $60 million in managed expenses and was ready to evolve from a couples splitting app to an all-in-one tool for partners living together.
Role & Impact
I joined the team as a Product design lead, and led the redesign of the entire product, launched three core features, and shipped a higher converting onboarding experience to support the new subscription model.
The redesign and new features we launched helped Tandem achieve a 5-star App Store rating and raise $3.7M in early 2024.
